Details: The birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Ji, the last of the 24 Tirthankaras of Jainism, was celebrated with great reverence in the premises of Atam Devki Niketan situated at Kidwai Nagar on April 20. The programme was started by offering flowers at the feet of Swami Mahavir Ji and paying obeisance. Bhagwan Mahavir Swami Ji gave many sermons for social reform and self-welfare. Along with this, he emphasized on principles like religion, truth, violence, celibacy, non-possession and forgiveness in his sermons. While interpreting his sermons and sermons, school students presented many bhajans and speeches.
